Hi, Justin! We’re excited to get to know you better. Tell us a little bit about where you’re from and where you went to school.
I was born in New York and was raised in Irving, Texas. I went to Texas A&M University and graduated in December 2016 with my Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
What drew you to the engineering profession?
My dad works as a custom home builder, so I’ve always been around construction drawings my entire life. I was interested in doing something similar to what he did on a larger scale, so land development engineering was perfect for me!
What types of projects have you worked on?
I’ve worked on multiple multi-family developments, industrial warehouses, and office spaces all around Texas.
What’s your get-pumped song?
“Freaks and Geeks” by Childish Gambino.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to work out (I go to F45 every day), watch the same shows on Netflix repeatedly, hang out with friends, and read books/poems.
Have you read any good books lately?
The Golden Compass – Phillip Pullman
What does your ideal vacation look like?
Sitting on the beach and relaxing.
What was your first job?
My first job was as a clerk at a grocery store.
When I’m creatively stuck, I…
Listen to music (anything BUT country music) or work out.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
My cell phone (can’t get away from watching Tik Tok’s at home for hours)!
Any interesting facts about yourself that you’d like to share?
I am an avid shoe collector/wearer! I have about 35 pairs of shoes that I wear on a regular basis.
Who or what inspires you?
My parents doing everything they can to give me a better life than they had.
