Talk to a market leader today! We’ll answer any questions you have about our professional services.
Tell us a little bit about where you’re from and where you went to school:
I was born in Brooklyn, NY, but grew up in Palm City, a small town in South Florida. I have a bachelor’s degree in design from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Michigan.
What drew you to this profession?
I always enjoyed creating something out of nothing, whether it was creating something out of scrap material in the garage or building with Legos. The ability to think outside the box and work through the details of how something comes together transpired into my adulthood and brought me to the architecture profession.
What types of projects have you worked on?
I have worked on an extensive amount of projects for FDOT, ranging from small toll buildings and weigh stations, to large projects, such as rest areas along Florida’s interstates. Our architecture department is constantly evolving as a group and consistently looking to expand our expertise in various markets!
What do you like to do in your free time?
If I’m not spending time with my wife, family, and friends, I enjoy remodeling my house.
What does your ideal vacation look like?
Anywhere quiet and secluded to take a break from the rest of the world.
What was your first job?
I was prep-cook at a country club.
When I’m creatively stuck, I…
Step away, take a break, and come back with a different way of thinking.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
Trader Joe’s chocolate chip cookies!
Any interesting facts about yourself that you’d like to share?
I recently got married to my wife, Becky. We are high school sweethearts of 10 years!
Who or what inspires you?
My parents! They are the reason why I work so hard and not give up on anything I set my mind to.
Everyone at WGI has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours?
Architecture was a relatively new group at the time I started. I knew I would be exposed to a lot of different aspects of architecture very early on in my career. Every day I learn something new and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to be a part of!
