FLORIDA’S TURNPIKE ENTERPRISE CHOOSES WANTMAN GROUP, INC. TO DEVELOP RFP DOCS UNDER CONTINUING SERVICES CONTRACT
Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI) is pleased to announce it was awarded a $5 million continuing services contract by Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) to develop Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for upcoming design-build projects.
WGI has completed more design-build projects within the state than any other design firm, and delivered over 200 assignments throughout FTE’s system over the last 15 years. In fact, WGI’s experience with the FTE from 2002 to the present has allowed its professionals to “touch” nearly every mile of the Turnpike’s system of limited access toll facilities.
“We are proud of our long-standing relationship with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise,” said David Wantman, PE, president of WGI. “WGI has completed twenty-five design-build projects over the last ten years, twenty-two of those as lead designer. This provides us an unprecedented knowledge of the design-build delivery process, which we will apply under this new contract to deliver results beyond FTE’s expectations.”
As a multidisciplinary consulting firm, WGI has seven offices throughout Florida and is comprised of eight separate divisions devoted to the following disciplines: Civil/Municipal Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Surveying and Mapping, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Environmental, Planning, and Creative Services. WGI is among the 437 private growth companies that were Hire Power Awards honorees for 2013 and is featured in the 2nd annual edition of Inc. Hire Power Awards, recognizing the private businesses that have generated the most jobs since 2012. ZweigWhite ranked WGI #41 on the “Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies” list, as well as the “Best Firms to Work For” list. Additionally, in 2014 WGI ranked number 6 on the “Top 25 Engineering Firms in South Florida” list by The South Florida Business Journal and ranked #3767 on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
