Our origins in parking go back to 1983 when our Parking Solutions Division was known as Carl Walker, Inc. Today, the Division offers a wide range of parking solutions such as structural engineering and functional design, master planning, feasibility and financial studies, architecture, design-build, restoration and preservation, and technical assessment.
WGI’s Parking Planning & Studies group works with our real estate clients to handle management and operational reviews, policy assessments, supply and demand analysis, transportation and master plans, marketing, branding and customer service, feasibility studies, technology assessments, and revenue and rate analysis. Our team can also review your enforcement policy and operations. We provide downtown and transportation planning services, along with organizational assessments and policy development assistance for real estate clients. Our planners specialize in solving problems and providing successful solutions for real-world applications.
Our Parking Engineering & Design group often assists with owner’s representative services, feasibility and site analysis, prime design, planning/functional design, structural engineering, sustainable design, lighting, and drainage design. We also help our real estate clients evaluate their revenue control systems, security and access control, graphics and wayfinding, and design-build scope documents. As parking consultants, one of our strengths is an extensive background in planning and designing parking structures. We help balance aesthetics, functionality, durability, and cost to deliver the maximum benefit.
The Restoration group has extensive experience providing repairs to a variety of structures including building facades/enclosures, supported plaza systems, tunnels, and bridges. We can accommodate all program development including capital improvement plan development, life-cycle cost analysis, maintenance manual preparation, due diligence, and public/private partnership challenges. Our restoration engineering services include leak mitigation, corrosion protection, structural repairs, and evaluations for the adaptive reuse of existing structures.
