Coral Springs, FL
After the hurricanes of 2004 and 2005 caused irreparable damage to the facilities on the Broken Woods golf course, it was closed and became fallow. Careful design and approvals were provided for the redevelopment of the defunct course, including planning and landscape architecture services. The contaminated property was remediated and designed to allow neighboring properties to retain their water and open space views. The design also accommodated a range of housing options, including single-family, townhomes, and apartments. A public park was dedicated to the community and pedestrian connectivity was provided per the Coral Springs Downtown Master Plan.
