I-95 WIDENING FROM SR 70 TO SOUTH OF SR 614
St. Lucie County, FL
This $80 million Design-Build project included the widening of I-95 from four to eight lanes from SR 70 to just south of SR 614, a distance of nine miles. The installation of twin 96-inch diameter concrete culverts, each approximately 390 feet in length, occurred at the crossing of the North St. Lucie River Water Control District Emergency Relief Canal Number 44. WGI provided drainage, environmental assessment, and permitting for the proposed culvert as well as roadway design, survey, drainage, signing and pavement marking, utility coordination, and traffic control design for the roadway itself.
