WANTMAN GROUP, INC. SELECTED FDOT DISTRICT 3 DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT: WIDENING SR 8 AND RECONSTRUCTING THE SR 281 INTERCHANGE IN SANTA ROSA COUNTY
Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI), is proud to announce its selection by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 3 to provide design-build services to widen SR 8 (I-10) for approximately 3.7 miles from the Escambia Bay Bridge in Santa Rosa County to east of SR 281 (Avalon Boulevard) from four to six lanes, including the complete reconstruction of the SR 281 Interchange and ramp reconstruction, as well as reconstruction of SR 281 itself to a typical urban section from just south of Romano Street to north of San Pablo Street.
The project’s primary goal is to provide additional traffic capacity and to improve mobility along SR 8. WGI is providing roadway design, drainage design, traffic control, signing and marking design, utility coordination, and public involvement.
