Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI), is proud to announce its selection by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 3 to provide design-build services to widen SR 8 (I-10) for approximately 3.7 miles from the Escambia Bay Bridge in Santa Rosa County to east of SR 281 (Avalon Boulevard) from four to six lanes, including the complete reconstruction of the SR 281 Interchange and ramp reconstruction, as well as reconstruction of SR 281 itself to a typical urban section from just south of Romano Street to north of San Pablo Street.

“We are pleased to be working in the state’s panhandle with District 3 on such a necessary project to the residents of Santa Rosa County,” said David Wantman, PE, president of WGI. “This is a huge win for our Tallahassee office and our first design-build project with District Three, another link forged in a strong and successful partnership with FDOT. Our goal is always to deliver the best possible outcome for area residents and motorists as quickly as possible.”
