WANTMAN GROUP, INC. SELECTED FOR I-75 DESIGN-BUILD: WIDENING 13 MILES FROM HERNANDO COUNTY LINE TO CR 470 AND RECONSTRUCTING THE SR48 INTERCHANGE
Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI), is proud to announce its selection by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 5 to provide design-build services to widen I-75 for approximately 13 miles north into Sumter County from four to six lanes, including the complete reconstruction of the SR 48 Interchange and ramp reconstruction at the CR 476B / CR 673 Interchange.
As a member of the Middlesex Construction Design-Build Team, the primary goal is to provide additional traffic capacity and to improve mobility along I-75. WGI will lead the design team for this $77 million project. Improvements include roadway, earthwork, drainage, bridge, miscellaneous structures, pond construction, guardrail, median barrier, signing and pavement marking, box culvert extensions, lighting and signalization, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) improvements, geotechnical, utilities, subsurface utility engineering, sidewalks and driveways, milling and resurfacing, public involvement, and environmental permitting.
