WGI AWARDED THREE NEW CONTRACT WINS

September 2016

Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI) continues its streak of major job awards – in addition to nine new service or continuing service contracts awarded by municipalities and counties around the state.

WGI was selected by the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) District 4 to perform all professional engineering services and obtain approvals from the FDOT, Lake Worth Drainage District, and Palm Beach County required for the replacement of four bridges identified by the Palm Beach County MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization): Seminole Drive at the L-16 Canal, Sandalfoot Boulevard at the E-1E Canal, New England Boulevard at the E-1 Canal, and El Claire Ranch Road at the L-30 Canal.

WGI was selected as one of three firms to serve the City of West Palm Beach as Transportation Engineering/Planning Consultants. The three-year term of this contract includes a two-year option to extend. The award could not have come at a better time, as the City is embarking upon a new path for transportation planning and infrastructure. WGI will be a part of the team of innovative community leaders and staff seeking to redesign city streets into integrated, connected networks for multi-modal use. The services involve a wide range of WGI disciplines, including transportation planning, roadway design, structures design, drainage, environmental services, landscape architecture, urban design, civil engineering, utilities, and surveying.

WGI was awarded all five of the Seminole Tribe’s 2016 wetland monitoring projects. These are scientific studies of vegetation in pristine areas of the Big Cypress and Immokalee Reservations.  Winning all five establishes WGI as the go-to firm for scientific work with the Seminole Tribe, and places the firm in an excellent position to win again in future years.
