(WGI) is pleased to announce that it has opened a Miami-Dade County office to further expand its presence in the South Florida market, bringing aboard four new employees, including new Vice President and Greater Miami Transportation Regional Manager Andy Garganta, PE to lead the team.

wgi-miami.jpgGarganta has 40 years of experience in South Florida and was one of the principal owners of Consul-Tech, a firm that was highly regarded in the Transportation, Environmental and CEI markets.

Garganta, a graduate of the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, started his career in 1976, and over the course of that time has been the Engineer of Record on projects that include State Road 836, State Road 826, State Road 874, I-75, and I-95. He has extensive experience with complex transportation projects, specifically in District 6 where he has worked extensively and has firmly established relationships.

WGI Miami is located at Bird Road and the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike (HEFT), placing it close to downtown Miami and providing easy access to primary transportation routes. The office will primarily work on transportation/roadway projects, PD&E studies, and other design services.

When the opportunity to bring Andy on board presented itself, we didn’t hesitate to make it happen. His leadership will be key to our further expansion into the Miami-Dade area.”

The new office is located at 11401 SW 40th Street, Miami FL 33165, and will open May 31, 2016 with Garganta and other experienced professionals to help him lead the way.
