WGI’S RICHARD EARP ELECTED TO LEAD AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CIVIL ENGINEERS’ ENVIRONMENTAL WATER RESOURCES INSTITUTE
Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI) is pleased to announce that Richard Earp, PE, Senior Project Engineer, was elected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) to lead the Environmental Water Resources Institute.
Richard received the 2009 ASCE Government Engineer of Year Award, and will serve as Central Florida Chairman for the third time in 15 years. He has been active in the group since 1998.
ASCE Committee members are dedicated to the advancement of innovative and effective water resources and environmental solutions to achieve a sustainable future. The Committee helps to build the Professional Engineering community in Central Florida by bringing together professionals to share ideas on effective infrastructure improvement strategies that also focus on restoration, protection, and preservation of our water resources.
The non-profit Committee holds a well-attended Annual Water Resources Seminar, provides low-cost technical luncheons, and numerous volunteer projects throughout each year with proceeds primarily directed to scholarships for students at the University of Central Florida.
