Get to Know the Internship Program

Do I need previous internship experience?

No. Previous internship experience may not be required for every position. Each posting outlines the preferred education, coursework, skills, and experience, allowing you to determine whether the opportunity fits your background.

Can I apply for more than one internship?

Yes. You are welcome to apply for multiple internships that match your interests and qualifications. Focus on the opportunities that genuinely fit your career goals, and tailor each application to the specific role.

Can an internship lead to a full-time position?

Yes. Many interns use the experience to build relationships and demonstrate their abilities. Although a full-time role is not guaranteed, interns may be considered for available positions after graduation.

Are WGI internships paid?

Yes. Compensation details may vary by position, location, and discipline. Review the individual internship posting for information about the anticipated pay range and any other compensation details associated with the role.

Do I need to be an Engineering major to apply?

No. WGI’s internship program covers our four divisions, Transportation, Buildings, Civil, and Geospatial, but we offer corporate-level internships with our Innovation, Marketing, Legal, and Accounting teams as well!
