WGI worked with the Golden Urban Renewal Authority (GURA) and Nexcore to design and construct the five-level, 268-space public parking structure in downtown Golden. Located at 1250 Jackson Street directly across the alley from Gateway Station, the garage is less than half a block from the Washington Street’s retail shops, restaurants, and the historic Buffalo Rose.
The north and south ends of the garage were constructed as fire walls with removable panels to allow adjacent mixed-use development. After several years of parking operations, residential and commercial buildings were constructed along both faces.
WGI served as parking designer and structural engineer for this project.
