Bercy Chen Studio, LP retained WGI to provide building envelope consulting for their new design projects at 5916 N. Lamar Boulevard and 7800 N. Burleson in Austin, Texas. WGI will review the construction documents and provide the Design Team input on providing a weather-tight building envelope. This review entailed reviewing the wall section and details, window and door conditions, the roofing and courtyards waterproofing interactions, as well as material transitions that may occur in the building envelope. During construction, we will review submittals and the building envelope construction. 

Project Highlights 

WGI performed a building envelope review of the residential projects. The building envelope review included the following:

• Performed a thorough review of the drawings and specifications. 
• Reviewed building envelope comments with the Architectural team. 
• Provided recommendations for exterior detail conditions. 
• Reviewed contractor’s product and VE recommendations. 
• Will observe testing of critical building envelope locations. 
• Will perform Construction Observation during the construction.
