Albert Place Condominiums

The City of East Lansing retained WGI to provide professional consulting engineering and construction administration services to assist the city in reviewing and overseeing the design and construction of a mixed-use residential development. Albert Place Condominiums has two levels of parking and three floors of condos. The building’s facade is brick and limestone and is postmodern in design. The parking component was developed and constructed by the developer, but the City of East Lansing agreed to own, operate and maintain it.

With the responsibility for long-term maintenance and operations, the city wanted WGI to review the design and construction of the structure to assess how the structure would function regarding maintenance, future repairs and service life.
