The Bexar County parking structure provides 740 parking spaces for County government employees on 8 levels above grade. The ground floor of the facility houses 34,000 square feet of occupied space for the Bexar County IT department and a fitness center. The parking garage, located just off the historic courthouse square, offers convenient parking for Bexar County judges and employees. The garage also serves visitors during non-business hours.
Due to the expansive soil conditions encountered at the site and to mitigate potential vertical floor movements, the ground level floor consists of a suspended post-tensioned concrete floor system. A vehicular express ramp was required from Level 1 to 2 to provide sufficient ceiling height for the occupied space on Level 1. Architectural finishes include stone limestone veneer panels selected to match the adjacent Bexar County Archives Building.
