City of Asheville Parking Access Revenue Control (PARC's) Specifications and Proposal Analysis

Project Details

 The City of Asheville engaged WGI to assist with developing PARC's equipment specifications and the subsequent PARC's Request for Proposal (RFP). This project’s main goal was to provide an analysis of PARC's alternatives and recommend the best possible system to meet the city’s PARC's needs. 

Following the development and issuance of system specifications and the PARCs RFP, WGI was involved in the proposal evaluation and vendor selection process.

Project Highlights 

  • Develop base PARC's specification requirements for the RFP 
  • Review equipment/technology options 
  • Recommend “Industry Best Practices” for revenue control, auditing, and parking operations and management 
  • Utilize PARCs evaluation matrix based on city requirements and recognized industry standards 
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and identify systems that best satisfy city needs 
  • Develop cost estimates for recommended parking access and revenue control system options
