Compuware Corp. is a software company with products aimed at the information technology departments of large businesses. The company is headquartered in downtown Detroit.
Prior to the construction of this parking facility, Compuware Corp. once had nine separate facilities to house more than 4,000 employees in metro Detroit. A comprehensive analysis of its business needs determined that a single headquarters building would most effectively help Compuware meet its business goals.
Compuware’s World Headquarters is considered the anchor tenant in Detroit’s revitalized Campus Martius area. It includes approximately 60,000-square-feet of retail space around the first floor atrium, including Borders Books & Music and Michigan’s only Hard Rock Café.
WGI provided parking consulting services for Compuware’s 12-story, 3,000-space above- and below-grade parking structure.
Project Highlights
• Designated area for employees who use the day care center and a large area for visitors
• Designed around an elevated people-mover station
• Each level is uniquely “illustrated” with original art by students from Detroit’s College for Creative Studies
