ESL Federal Credit Union Parking Structure

Client:
ESL Federal Credit Union
Market:
Parking
Location:
Rochester, New York

Project Details

ESL Federal Credit Union is headquartered in Rochester, N.Y. WGI provided parking consulting and structural engineering services for the 557-space parking structure that serves the $55M six-story ESL headquarters. This project was at the forefront of a redevelopment movement in downtown Rochester and the first major downtown project built from the ground up since 1999.

Two vehicular bridges connect the new and existing parking structure. A pedestrian bridge also connects the stair/elevator tower to the headquarters building. The parking structure also features motion-activated, energy-efficient florescent lighting that automatically illuminates when it detects pedestrians or vehicles. The parking structure is designed to accommodate a two-level vertical expansion in the future.

Project Highlights

• Reserved parking spaces are available for eco-friendly cars
• Snow chute with electronic doors offers pedestrian and operator protection
• Precast façade
