The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission requested professional services during construction of the Phase 1 Camping Area Paving and Parking Lot Expansion in the Fisheating Creek Wildlife Management Area. Improvements included paved RV camping stalls, water and sewer services, and stormwater management infrastructure. WGI provided construction administration and observation and certification at completion. Design for Phase 2 improvements are expected to start in the near future.

Project Highlights

• Construction activities were approximately two-thirds complete and WGI took over observation and certification responsibilities from another engineering firm. WGI researched past construction observation reports, submittals, requests for information, and construction photographs to determine if work conducted under the other engineering firm were constructed in substantial conformance with the plans, specifications, and permits.
