Franklin Lake Self Park Garage

WGI was retained for professional engineering services to perform a Critical Examination of the Franklin Lake Self Park Garage located at 180 N. Franklin Street in Chicago, IL. The Examination was performed in compliance with the requirements of Chapter 13-196 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, together with the Rules and Regulations for Exterior Wall Maintenance Program. 

Project Highlights 

WGI performed an assessment of the exterior façade of the garage and architectural fenestration. The façade assessment and design included:

• Performed a hands-on, closeup assessment of the exterior facade. 
• Prepared a Critical Examination report to be submitted to the City of Chicago 
• Prepared detailed repair documents for the concrete façade and upper-level EIFS architectural entablature. 
• Performed Construction Administration and Observation.
