General Motors #4 Parking Structure

Project Details

With its global headquarters in Detroit, General Motors is the world’s second largest automaker.

Connected to the General Motors headquarters building by supported enclosed pedestrian walkways, this five-level, 1,322-space parking structure provides parking for company employees. Retail space is provided adjacent to the structure.

Project Highlights

• Level floors with two-way traffic—access to four supported levels via an internal express ramp
• Three glass-backed stair towers and one glass-backed elevator tower
• Precast/prestressed concrete structure
• Precast double tees with three-inch cast-in-place topping
• Colored exterior precast columns and spandrel beams
