The original project at Holland Hospital included constructing a 110,000–square-foot Ambulatory Care Center and a 222-space parking structure.
WGI was part of a recent multi-phase plan that expanded the Holland Community Hospital outpatient services, emergency care, and diagnostic imaging facilities. The project included the relocation of the outpatient entrance, addition of a helipad, and new structured parking.
WGI provided all structural engineering consulting for the original three-story building, including foundation design and superstructure design. Foundations consisted of spread footings, and the superstructure consisted of structural steel and cast-in-place concrete construction.
WGI also provided parking consulting and structural engineering for the two-level precast concrete parking structure, including foundation and superstructure design.
Project Highlights:
• Organized along an outpatient services spine, the expansion totaled 68,000-square-feet of new space and 38,600-square-feet of renovated space.
