WGI was retained by Indiana University (IU) to lead the wayfinding signage upgrades in twelve (12) parking garages on two different campuses. WGI served as the prime design consultant and provided construction documents indicating the extent of signage demolition along with the new signs to be manufactured and installed. The work in all twelve garages was designed and managed concurrently. WGI worked closely with IU to develop the project schedules, considering times when classes were in session and working around important events such as graduation ceremonies. GI managed the design, bidding, and construction phases of the project.
• The signage was upgraded to meet a new Indiana University standard for parking garage signage across all IU campuses.
• Enhanced wayfinding within garages and for landmarks over the campuses.
• The signage design included multiple operational parking conditions such as permits, reserved and nested areas, event parking, pay-on-foot, and pay-by-app.
