WGI was responsible for the completion of a Water and Sewer Master Plan for the urban services boundary in Indiantown, Florida. The study included domestic water main modeling and wastewater force main modeling. EPANET, a modeling program developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, was used to determine flow rates under various conditions, as well as different fire flow scenarios. Input for the modeling included conditions such as existing water main piping size and lengths, current water demands and anticipated demands for other proposed development. Fire flow options included singular events as well as multiple fire events or emergencies.
The results of the study provided a basis for future improvements and identified those capital improvements that would be required, depending on the development phasing of Indiantown Company’s property.
