Iron Horse Transit Facility

This facility integrates parking for employees of Park City’s Public Works Dept. with transit bus storage/maintenance into a single building. Parking for 86 personal and city-owned vehicles is provided on the roof level of the building; 38 full-size and para-transit buses are housed at the ground level. The building is uniquely shaped to accommodate the required number of buses within the extremely congested footprint.

• Hydronic snow melt system is designed to keep the express ramp ice-free
• Cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete construction with a spread footing foundation system
• Exterior architecture is simple and functional yet conforms to the strict design standards of the ski-resort community
