Lake Worth Pier

WGI was responsible for the revitalization of this 1,000-foot-long ocean pier after storm damage from Hurricanes Jeanne and Frances. The pier was raised five feet from its original height for additional storm protection, while still maintaining ADA accessibility. The pier was designed and constructed utilizing top-down construction techniques.  

WGI also provided construction phase services for the project, including review of shop drawings, site visits to observe concrete placement and pile driving, progress meetings, and final inspections and reports. Coordinating with the contractor and the City we were able to keep the restaurant on the West end of the Pier open throughout the construction phase.
