WGI provided parking consulting, planning, and engineering services to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. With nearly 4,000 parking spaces on campus in multiple structures and surface parking areas, WGI’s role encompassed many different projects.
Project Highlights:
• Reconstruction and upgrade of the heliport on top of the existing Employee garage, including coordination of temporary landing facilities during construction.
• Planning and design of a 5-level, 1,150-car Visitors’ garage.
• Planning and design of a 5-level, 1,100 car horizontal expansion of the Employee garage, with connectivity to the existing Employee garage at every level and to the Visitors’ garage at Levels 3 and 5 via vehicle bridges.
• Incorporation of a 10,000 SF Information Technology and Computing Center and a 10,000 SF Community Service Center and Training Facility into the Employee garage.
• Design of a one-level vertical expansion for the Employee garage.
• Addition of express ramps along the west side of the Employee garages.
