An integral component of Missouri State University’s (MSU) master plan is being the first automobile-free university campus in the country. In an effort to make the academic core campus pedestrian-only, MSU developed its third intermodal facility. The mixed-use 1,243-space parking structure incorporates a bus station within the garage that includes a bus staging and passenger pick-up/drop-off area. The lower level of the garage includes offices for the university’s parking and transportation operations, a waiting area for customers and visitors, a vending area, bicycle lockers, and a driver’s lounge.

• Utilizes a state-of-the-art automated pay system connected to the university’s centralized parking-access and revenue-control system
• The bus station features a large architectural canopy to provide shelter for waiting passengers while adding an aesthetically pleasing element to the structure
