Located on the Museum of Science & Industry’s north side, this three-level, 1,502-space underground parking structure provides convenient access to the museum by offering elevators, escalators, closed-circuit television, and underground entrance and exit lanes.
The parking structure is five bays wide and has single-thread circulation ramps and one-way traffic. For ease of use and to accommodate park traffic volumes, a historic Zephyr train exhibit is located within the center of the parking structure. A landscaped park above the parking structure at grade level returns the site to its original historic setting for improved aesthetics and a wonderful picnic venue along Lake Michigan.
