In recent years, the City of Olathe has undertaken a number of projects aimed at strengthening the future of its developed areas.
One such project was the expansion of the existing downtown parking structure, which was a collaboration between the City of Olathe and Johnson County. The expansion consisted of an extension to the upper-level ramp, as well as a six-level horizontal addition to the north end of the existing garage to provide an additional 312 stalls for downtown Olathe.
The Olathe Downtown Parking Garage project won the Best Public Design/Build Project Under $15 million at the Design-Build Institute of America Regional Awards Ceremony.
