Project Details

O’Reilly Auto Parts relied on WGI’s expertise for Site Civil design on several South Florida projects in a variety of municipalities. These sites ranged from the smaller retail footprint or their larger distribution boxes serving their neighborhood. The larger boxes had the additional challenge of fitting a large tractor-trailer into the delivery area.

WGI coordinated the site plan with the architect, represented the project for entitlements, and designed drainage and water quality with access, parking lot design, utility connections, and platting.

  • Some sites were challenged by neighborhoods not wanting the project, coordination with master developers on concurrent design and permitting, negotiation with several competing interests for utility and drainage extensions with who was ultimately driving the need and carrying the cost, and a variety of architectural challenges as a conduit for the remote architect to meet with the key players at the local jurisdiction.
