The City of Lake Worth Beach is improving the roadway and utility infrastructure in the Lake Worth Park of Commerce, a 375-acre commercial and industrial business park. Improvements include widening roadways, adding sidewalks and curbing, and improving utility and storm drainage infrastructure. The improvement projects are partly funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and administered by the Florida Department of Transportation through a Joint Project Agreement. WGI is providing Construction and Engineering Services for the City on a project designed by another engineering firm. Phase 1B includes improvements to 4th Avenue North and approximately 2,400 feet of 7th Avenue North.
The Lake Worth Park of Commerce is an active and thriving business park. Great care was taken to ensure constant communications, minimal interruptions, and effective maintenance of traffic to minimize disruption to the businesses and to provide their support of the project.
