Parkland Royale PUD is an active adult residential development community of more than 530 single family homes located in the City of Parkland, Broward County, Florida. The project site is situated on approximately 177 acres and includes 80 acres of impacted wetlands from historic ditching, draining, and agricultural use.
Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI) Environmental staff performed wetland delineation services, listed species surveys, and a Global Positioning System (GPS) tree inventory. Wetland dredge and fill permits were attained from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Florida Water Management District, and Broward County Environmental Planning & Growth Management Department that provided 27.13 credits of wetland compensatory mitigation at the Loxahatchee Mitigation Bank.
WGI staff assisted the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in development of an Eastern Indigo snake habitat matrix to determine potential monetary contribution for habitat impact for this species.
