WGI was awarded a three-year continuing services contract by Martin County. Based on our performance to date, the County has recently chosen to renew WGI’s contract for an additional one year to 2025 with an additional optional renewal to 2026. We provide a full suite of environmental consulting services to Martin County. To date, we have provided services for seven projects:

1), 2), & 3) Design and installation of littoral shelves for two existing stormwater treatment areas, 4) prepared an effect determination memorandum provided to USFWS for the gopher tortoise, wood stork, protected wading birds, snail kite, scrub jay, red-cockaded woodpecker, and the Florida bonneted bats. Species-specific surveys were performed for gopher tortoises, Florida bonneted bats, and wood stork suitable foraging habitat, 5) completed a Type I Categorical Exclusion checklist and backup memorandum for a LAP project with the FDOT for sidewalk widening and associated drainage improvements, 6) prepared a feasibility study for a new stormwater treatment area including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of the system as well as projected improvements in nutrient uptake to meet total maximum daily load requirements for the basin, and 7) recently have been contracted to perform a tree canopy assessment of the entire urban service district of the County with the intention of using the information as a baseline analysis to identify areas of concern and future targets for enhancing the tree canopy of the County.
