River City Critical Examination

WGI was retained for professional engineering services to perform a Critical Examination of the River City Apartments located at 800 South Wells in Chicago, IL. The Examination was performed in compliance with the requirements of Chapter 13-196 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, together with the Rules and Regulations for Exterior Wall Maintenance Program. 

Project Highlights

• WGI assessed the exterior façade of the garage and architectural fenestration. The façade assessment and design included: 
• Prepared a Critical Examination report to be submitted to the City of Chicago 
• Performed a hands-on, closeup assessment of the exterior façade and directed the restoration contractor on the scope of repairs. 
• Reviewed repair preparation and final repairs. 
• Performed Construction Administration and Observation.
