Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

Client:
AeroLink Transportation
Market:
Cities and Communities
Location:
Arlington, Virginia

Project Details

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is a public airport located three miles south of the central business district of Washington, D.C. in Arlington County, VA.

WGI provided a parking rate analysis based on the impact of the vertical expansion of the airport’s two existing parking structures and the temporary loss of parking spaces during construction.

Project Highlights

  • Provide a financial analysis based upon a parking-rate model that used historical data to predict revenue changes based on alternative rate structures
  • Analyze changes in parking demand that may result from modifying the current public parking rate structure and the temporary loss of parking spaces
  • Recommend interim and final parking-rate structures, as appropriate
  • Prepare a cost estimate for replacing the computerized parking-control system, including existing equipment, software, and hardware
  • Provide a white paper on the pros and cons of incorporating pay-on-foot devices in the elevator lobby on Level 3 of Garage B/C for use by hourly parking patrons
  • Provide a white paper on partial license-plate recognition technology
