Located in downtown Great Falls on 1st Avenue South, this parking structure was specifically designed to counter the stereotypes of traditional garage architecture. Accent colors and architectural details such as half barrel roof elements complement the local commercial and civic buildings. Many of the architectural elements, such as the curved wall along the perimeter of the garage and the exterior walkways, were created to emulate the nearby Missouri River.
Intensive participation in the design from the City of Great Falls, the Business Improvement District, the Downtown Merchant Association, the Great Falls Transi District, and the community at large resulted in a balance of architectural style and efficient function.
• Vaulted rooflines provide covered parking for parkers on the upper level
• Local stones, plants and trees surround the perimeter of the garage
• Approximately 30% of the parking is over-sized for larger vehicles
