The Springs Family YMCA is located in Dripping Springs, Texas, just outside of Austin. WGI was responsible for over 16,000 square feet of MEP design for the renovation and expansion of the existing facility.
Architectural design was completed by RUNA workshop. As the MEP engineer for the project, WGI was responsible for the design of all HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, including the renovation of the existing gymnasium and aquatic center buildings, new bathhouse, and new site lighting.
The addition included new exercise areas and a child watch area in the aquatic center. Two new outdoor pools were also added, one of which will be used for swim competitions.
