Expansion of an adjacent highway off-ramp resulted in the loss of parking in a surface lot at this office complex owned by Liberty Property Trust. As the highway redesign progressed and the resulting parking shortfall became imminent, the owner chose a fast-track design/build delivery for this 263-space parking structure. Construction was completed less than seven months after the start of design.
• Two-bay single helix with two-way traffic throughout
• Facade incorporated a heavy-blast light-pigmented precast panel that complemented the office complex
• The framing system consisted of precast/ prestressed concrete with pre-topped and pre-washed double tees
• Foundations consisted of spread and strip footings with cantilever retaining walls
