University of Michigan 202 South Thayer Building

Client:
University of Michigan
Market:
Parking
Location:
Ann Arbor, Michigan

Project Details

The 202 South Thayer Building houses the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and the departments of Asian Languages and Culture and Near-Eastern Studies and the Jean & Samuel Frankel Center for Judaic Studies and the Humanities Institute.

WGI performed a QA/QC peer review of this 60,000 square-foot steel-frame academic building that, combined with the Modern Language Building across the street, provides a hub for the study of languages and literature on the campus of the University of Michigan.

Project Highlights:

• Features six floors plus screening for rooftop mechanical equipment
• The precast concrete façade is colored to resemble the Indiana limestone used in the stately Rackham Graduate School located across the street
