WGI conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and Phase 2 contamination testing of this 19-acre site. The site was previously agricultural land. Soil and groundwater contained arsenic above State and County cleanup criteria. WGI reviewed previous assessments conducted by others and found inconsistencies. WGI conducted additional soil testing to resolve the inconsistencies, conducted water sampling of the surrounding lake, and evaluated offsite data to determine if the observed arsenic was part of a larger sub-regional distribution that was not specifically associated with the subject property. WGI developed a remediation plan that included targeted soil removal and calculated estimates of clean up costs.
