WGI was proud to provide in-kind services for the design and construction administration of the new Boys & Girls Club Teen Center in the City of Belle Glade. The facility was a much-needed addition to the work that the Boys & Girls Club provides for the community in the Glades area. The new facility, designed on property dedicated by Palm Beach County, replaced the existing teen center that was housed in a small and outdated building that had space restraints which limited the amount of kids that could be involved in programs. The new facility, coupled with the existing gymnasium on the property, will allow for a full range of services including educational, vocational, and physical education opportunities through the club’s programs.

WGI provided survey, civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, environmental, and project management services from initial design development through project competition. Our experienced team worked closely with the Boys and Girls Club, architect, and City staff to resolve site restraint issues to ensure that the proposed clubhouse could achieve its exciting vision and program while also fulfilling zoning, site design, drainage, and safety requirements.
