In 2015, WGI provided structural engineering for a boat ramp at Bert Winters Park in Jupiter. The design consisted of new sheet pile walls flanking the ramp on the north and south side, new concrete ramps with cut-off walls at the toe of the slope, and new concrete ramp transitions to the new floating docks. WGI also provided design criteria and specifications for the new aluminum gangways and floating dock system. During the construction phase, which began in 2018, WGI reviewed shop drawings; responded to Contractor’s Request for Information; monitored sheet pile installation; inspected the concrete construction, including reinforcing steel and casting for pile caps, slab-on-grade ramp, ramp transitions, and sidewalk connected to ramp transition; monitored floating dock installation; and provided as-built drawings and final certification to Palm Beach County.
