The Blount Memorial Hospital parking structure experienced excessive horizontal movement between precast double-tees and the cast-in-place retaining wall and spandrels. WGI was contracted to conduct an onsite review to determine if additional displacement occurred and identify items of deterioration in the structure. Immediate repairs were recommended to provide additional double-tee stem supports at locations where horizontal movement had occurred but hadn’t been previously addressed.
