Rezoning, site plan, and variance approvals were obtained for a golf course conversion to allow the development of Boca Dunes, a new residential townhouse development in southwestern Palm Beach County. The 41 acres needed for Boca Dunes was carved out of Boca Dunes Golf and Country Club, a 153-acre property with an 18-hole championship course, a 9-hole executive course, and a clubhouse facility with pool and tennis courts.
The project included rezoning and conditional use approvals for the golf course, enabling improvements to sustain its golf memberships through needed modernizations. Responsibilities included representing the owner of the golf and country club, as well as the residential homebuilder, while also garnering support for the two projects from the surrounding community. Additionally, WGI prepared full landscape construction documents for the project.
