WGI completed a condition appraisal of the Charleston at Blue Ash Parking Structure and outlined several issues related to the durability of the three-level precast parking structure, including freeze-thaw deterioration of precast structural members resulting from joint leakage, failed expansion joints seals, chloride contamination of concrete topping slabs, and ponding water.
A two year phased construction repair program was implemented in 2006 and 2007. Repairs included waterproofing, joint sealant, and expansion joint replacement, drain installation, and concrete topping slab repairs.
