WGI performed reviews of the available FDOT Bridge Management System Inspection/CID reports for 17 bridge locations throughout the City of Boca Raton. We then performed site visits, provided condition assessments, identified deficiencies, provided repair recommendations, prioritized repairs at each location, ranked the bridges and provided a recommended repair budget for each site. In subsequent years WGI provided repair plans and construction documents for the bridges. These bridges were later bid and went to construction. WGI also provided post-design services for construction management and contract administration.
WGI was involved in multiple projects from 2007 to 2020, working on behalf of the City to address the items identified by FDOT and WGI in order to correct deficiencies. Typical work consisted of concrete spall repairs, epoxy injection repairs, traffic railing repairs, asphalt joint repairs, guardrail repairs, replacement and addition of hazard marker signs, seawall undermining repairs, mudjacking approach slabs, seawall toe and joint sealing with chemical grouts, pile repairs, slab repairs, abutment repairs, and vegetation removal from concrete structure elements.
