Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport

The introduction of a new terminal building at the Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport required enhanced and expanded parking solutions to support future growth at Wichita’s primary airport. The project included new structured parking with 1,200 public spaces, as well as an additional 1,400 spaces in new or renovated surface parking to accommodate short-term, long-term, and employee needs. A new rental car Customer Service Building (CSB) anchors the front of the parking structure in support of the consolidated rental car operation on Level 1 of the garage. Additional support structures included a new parking operations office and exit plaza.

A new Parking Access and Revenue Control system (PARCS) consolidated the parking operation into a single networked system accessible by the airport and parking operator, allowing greater flexibility when setting parking rates and with managing employee access. Public parking is monitored by a vehicle count system with LED displays advising users of available parking. A new commercial vehicle lane with an AVI access system allows the airport to manage shuttle and taxi service to the new terminal.
