The project had an accelerated design schedule to meet the Governor’s goal of having the dynamic envelopes installed statewide within the next year. The dynamic envelope improvements will help motorists delineate the areas where vehicles should not stop around rail crossings. WGI was responsible for safety improvements at 28 rail crossings within the limits of FDOT District 4’s jurisdiction. Improvements included signing and pavement marking, and safety improvements at the rail crossing.
